The first slide in this presentation is on Chilean exports.  The first thing I noticed is that it does not follow the 10-20-30 rule.  The slide is written in 16-point font and it would most likely take more than 20 minutes to present just this slide with how much information is on them.  The slide also does not follow the K.I.S.S.S. rule (Keep It Short, Simple and Sharp).  Another problem with this slide is the final bullet point:

If you’ve read this far, your eyes probably hurt and you’ve been reading this tedious long-winded text instead of listening to me. I’m insulted- can’t you see I’m doing a presentation up here? Look at me! Congratulations, however, on having such good eyesight.

This bullet point has nothing to do with the rest of the slide and is more of an “easter egg” for anyone who bothers to read it.  However, there are some good portions to this slide that are good.  The background does not distract from the presentation and the contrast between the letters and background is easy on the eyes.  If I were to re-write the slide, it would look like this:

The second slide of this presentation is equally as bad as the previous slide, if not worse, just in different ways.  The first thing I notice is that the contrast between the lime green background and the yellow text hurts my eyes if I try to read the text.  If this were to be projected onto a giant screen, I would not be able to look at it.  It also does not follow the 10-20-30 rule with a 28-point font.  There is also a watermark in the bottom left-hand corner of the image:

The only good part about this slide is that the image is not pixelated.

The next two slides may be the worst in the entire presentation.  This slide on “Buying a New Suit” contains un-related images, unnecessary animations and highly-pixelated images.  Not to mention that it does not have any text on it  that would offer anyone help with buying a new suit.

The second last slide is extremely irritating.  Each bullet point has an intro animation, and an animation for once it is already on screen.  On top of that, it does not follow the 10-20-30 rule with a 28-point font.  While this is not a huge violation of the rule, it is something.

Finally, the last slide suggests that the presenter is not prepared.  He/She has not taken the time to rehearse their presentation to see if everything plays back correctly.  These errors would throw off a presentation and possibly leave the audience out of crucial pieces of information.

In all, this presentation is awful.  None of the slides relate to each other and there are huge errors in each slide.  It is hard for me to believe that there is a worse presentation anywhere.
